Back by popular demand, join us to experience the exciting, unusual and delightful series PROJECT YOGA/TANGO™, a unique synthesis of drop-in yoga/tango lessons designed for absolute beginners through ALL LEVELS of tango and yoga practitioners!
Dance of the Heart’s latest inspiration combines our popular introductory series of Argentine tango social dance training with yoga sequences in partnership with the fabulous Kelly Elle Kenworthy, owner of The Little Yoga Studio. Dancers, feel your tango awareness expand and deepen as you gain a fresh yoga-enhanced perspective on the social tango experience! Yoginis, experience your connection to body/heart/breath as you partake in partnered communication that moment by moment unfolds into the multi-layered, fascinating shared movement that is Argentine tango!
DATES: First Saturdays of each month: Feb 2, Mar 2, April 6, May 4, 2019
TIMES: 6 to 7:15pm
COST: $15/person (drop-in or pre-registration option available)
WHAT TO WEAR/BRING: We recommend yoga clothing or fabric you can move in easily…no partner required! Bring a yoga mat, water bottle, a sense of humor/adventure and a pair of socks (unless you own a pair of tango shoes). If you don’t have a yoga mat, they are available for rent at The Little.
CLASS DESCRIPTION: You may have years of experience or perhaps you’re taking first steps into either or both. This class is appropriate for ALL! Join us to explore the elegant, mysterious and expressive Argentine tango social dance and experience for yourself how delightfully our yoga sequences prepare your heart, body and mind to partake in BOTH! We’ll explore how these fascinating, profound practices interlock, compliment, enhance, inform and enliven the other.
Students are encouraged to attend all four classes but we are alert to busy schedules, so just drop in when time permits…no pre-registration or partner required. Couples, it’s a delightful, low stress date night so bring your sweetie if you’re up for a lovely fresh adventure! Tango video reviews, CD’s of tango music, yoga class schedules, water bottles, yoga mats and more are available for rent/for sale/as swag to support students in their yoga and tango journeys.

April 6, April 13, April 20, April 27 – Beginner & Intermediate/Advanced Tango Classes
A new tradition has launched!!! Join us in Ft. Collins this April for another inspiring series of beginning and intermediate level tango classes.
What you can expect: great material, delightful fellow students, internationally-vetted instructors who deliver carefully crafted series with a sense of humor and passionate commitment to prepare students to successfully meet the pleasures, challenges and delights of Argentine tango social dancing…AND it’s affordable yet packed full with value! Lessons are designed for absolute beginners (level 1) through intermediate/advanced (level 11) students!
Beginning students to Argentine tango, we welcome you to the Ft Collins Argentine tango community! Your four-week series of lessons and the journey into the fascinating world of tango begins April 6, 2019!
The “intermediate/advanced” class precedes the beginner lesson, same dates/location and class time TBA.
DATES: All Saturdays in April 2019: 6, 13, 20, 27
LOCATION: not yet confirmed but most likely we’ll meet again at the Unity Church of Ft. Collins, 1401 W. Vine Drive, 80521
COST: Series fee TBD (non-refundable), payable by cash or check (drop-in or pre-registration available)
WHAT TO WEAR/BRING: We recommend comfortable, casual clothing (possibly with a touch of elegance!?) that you can move in easily.
Note: To intermediate/advanced level students, we recommend taking both levels to support your own growth but to also encourage the beginners to join in your community. To brand new students or returning beginners, we recommend taking the level 1 session MANY times, especially after you become a skilled dancer because returning to refresh your fundamentals ensures superstar status!!!
